Welcome to The Arts of Humanity

Volunteers, donors, and even my family and friends often ask me, “What’s the connection between the arts and humanitarians?” What seems like a natural connection to me is not so evident to them and others. I normally begin my response by quoting Ralph Ellison who so eloquently stated, “The understanding of art depends finally upon one’s willingness to extend one’s humanity and one’s knowledge of human life.”
